Why did sylvanas burn Darnassus?
She only wanted Darnassus out of the way as it was the main Alliance stronghold left in Kalimdor, and she wanted it gone so as to secure her hold on the flow of Azerite. Her original intention was to capture it, but it seems she decided to destroy it out of spite for this one night elf.
