There are a number of labs across the country that still process super 8mm. I recommend Cinelab. The cost can vary. But usually you’ll end up spending around $18/roll.
How long does Super 8 film take to develop?
Product does not include outdated film stocks. All film is processed onsite, average turnaround is 2-3 business days (schedule and volume permitting). Processing film as normal is recommend for obtaining the best quality images and future preservation. Film should be processed promptly after shooting for best results.

Does film go bad if not developed?
No problems at all. Exposed film responds as favourably – recovered film from long-deceased (decades) mountaineers processes just fine. I’m assuming you’ll have money in six to twelve months, just throw them in a drawer.
Can old 35mm film still be developed?
Yes. Old film doesn’t go bad all at once – colors shift, contrast fades away, and fog builds up. Old film (~10+ years past the process date) will have faded, skewing towards magenta. In many cases, this is preferred and authentic to the time.
Is film better than digital?
With a higher dynamic range, film is better at capturing white’s and blacks’ details and can’t be replicated with digital cameras. Also, film can capture subtle details lost in digital photography. Film captures photos at higher resolution than most digital cameras.
How can you tell if a film is 16mm?
16mm is easily identified by measuring the width of the film – it is 16 mm across. If there are sprocket holes on both sides of the film, then the film is silent. Sprockets on one side of the film indicates that that there may be a soundtrack.
