What is an Egress account?

Your Switch ID/Egress ID is a secure identity. This allows you to read and reply to encrypted emails as well as access large files that have been sent to you securely. Free users can send and reply to paying subscribers an unlimited amount, totally free of charge.

Why do we need Egress?

Having an egress window allows for a quick escape in case of emergency. Also, in a home a room cannot be considered a bedroom if there is not an egress window and that doesn’t matter is it is in the basement or the top floor.

How do I use Egress?

Compose your message and attach any files as normal. Outlook messages are Unclassified as default (this default can be changed where required). To send the email securely, click on the Egress dropdown menu and select Encrypt message and attachments. Select Send as usual once your message is complete.
