Do I need merged patch?
We don’t usually recommend a merged patch. Like a bashed patch from Wrye Bash it can merge some levelled lists, but for conflicting records it just chooses the one from a plugin with higher load order.
Is bashed patch necessary?
No, not 100% required – a bashed patch is a way to combine certain elements of various mods into a unified single mod ( the bashed patch is treated as a mod) that then overwrites all of those elements in the various mods they come from. This prevents those elements from interfering with each other while playing.

some plugins can fully merged into the bashed patch, and these plugins can then be disabled, a few data record types, such as leveled lists, can be merged automatically in the bashed patch avoiding the need to manually create a compatibility patch for these.

- Right click on “bashed patch, 0.
- At the Deactivate these mods…
What do I do once I create a merge patch?
So once you’ve created a merged patch with everything you need (in my case all my enabled mods and all official DLC) is it safe to just deactivate everything included in the patch? Including DLC or do I keep that enabled??
