Are KLH subwoofers good?

I’ve been enjoying this KLH and have never heard a hum. This sub was cheap, but it has sounded/felt great for the money. The sound has been clear and full. I recently swapped in a Yamaha receiver with all the latest HDMI features the HK was missing, and now I’m not feeling like the subwoofer is doing its job properly.
