What does Odyssey of the Mind do?
Odyssey of the Mind, abbreviated OM or OotM, is a creative problem-solving program involving students from kindergarten through college. Team members work together at length to solve a predefined long-term problem and present their solution to the problem at a competition.
Is Destination ImagiNation the same as Odyssey of the Mind?
The OM Association will administer a new but similar creative tournament called Destination ImagiNation, created during the legal battle by former Odyssey of the Mind volunteers who feared the old program would die. The partnership was to receive final approval this week at a meeting in Chicago.

What is a spontaneous problem?
Verbal spontaneous problems require verbal responses. They may incorporate improvisation or dramatization. Teams are scored for common and creative responses. Hands-on spontaneous problems require teams to physically create a tangible solution. Each hands-on problem has its own specific scoring categories.
