Will UNC Fall 2021 be online?
To support students as they make degree progress, the University continues to provide limited online course options for undergraduate students who need to attend remotely.
How does UNC online work?
Carolina Courses Online (CCO) are included in your full-time student tuition. You can enroll in one online course each semester, and two courses in the summer. Since they are the same courses taught in the classroom, and taught by Carolina faculty, they meet all the credit requirements for your degree.
Does UNCA offer online degrees?
Students are limited to a maximum of eight (8) courses through the UNC Online program per undergraduate degree. Course(s) taken through UNC Online cannot be offered at UNC Asheville within the same semester (fall and spring).
Can UNC students take Friday Center classes?
Through the Friday Center, high school students can take classes on UNC-Chapel Hill’s campus and receive college credit.
Is UNC holding in-person classes?
Academics and instruction Based on our experience in the fall, we know we can teach small, in-person classes safely and successfully as we did with in-person graduate and professional health sciences classes. Grading accommodations from fall 2020 will be extended for the spring 2021 semester.
Is UNC Chapel Hill opening in the fall?
Based on the guidance of our experts, we are planning for a fall 2021 semester that will be a more typical residential academic experience at Carolina, with the goal of a full return to in-person instruction. We will likely need to keep many of our current safety precautions in place.

Does Chapel Hill dual enrollment?
Dual Enrollment for High School Students All courses attempted at UNC–Chapel Hill, including but not limited to summer session courses and dual-enrollment courses attempted while a student is still in secondary school, will be included in the UNC grade point average.
Can I take classes at UNC?
You can take classroom courses for credit at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. All courses are credit-granting and will become part of your permanent record at UNC-Chapel Hill.
